Athletic Directors:

TSSAA:

Interscholastic activities in Franklin County Schools are an important part of the overall educational process. The athletic programs offer students expanded learning opportunities that include self-discipline, self-esteem, and teamwork. Students who participate in extracurricular activities tend to get higher grades, have better attendance, and pose fewer discipline problems.

The opportunity to participate in Franklin County athletic programs is extended to all students who meet the eligibility requirements of the TSSAA and policies of the Franklin County Board of Education.

Before participating, students are required to have a physical on file along with necessary emergency medical information. Most physicians have a copy of the TSSAA physical form. We have included one on this page for your convenience.

It is the responsibility of the student athlete's parent/guardian to provide health and hospitalization insurance for all students participating in interscholastic athletics and to show proof of independently secured catastrophic and liability coverage. All athletes must submit the following required documents listed below under Requirements.
